We know children are a gift from God so, we offer a variety of programs for your children to experience God’s love.

Nursery

We welcome children birth thru 3 years of age into an environment dedicated to God’s littlest ones and into the loving care of our Nursery Team. Nursery care is available Sundays during all worship hours and during various Bible Studies and ministry activities during the week. The Nursery is located just down the hall from the Sanctuary.

Children’s Sunday School

We welcome children 2 years of age thru 5th grade into classes where leaders are dedicated to sharing God’s truths and showing God’s love. Each teacher brings their gifts and talents, and puts their creativity and energy into the chosen curriculum to make Christ real to each child.

10:15 am to 11:00 am in the Education Building behind the Sanctuary building.

Children’s Worship

Promise Kids We welcome children ages 4 thru 5 years of age into the Nursery for the latter part of all worship hours. While attending Promise Kids, children will hear Bible Stories, learn Bible truths and participate in age appropriate Bible activities. Our Nursery Team will then lovingly play with them until they are picked-up by their parent/guardian. Children zero thru 3 years of age also attend and participate in Promise Kids worship and activities.

Children’s Church We welcome children in kindergarten thru 3rd grade into a smaller Sanctuary setting, we call God’s Room, located down the hallway from the Sanctuary, in the last room on the right. The children are dismissed from ‘big Church’ (announcement will be made when to leave the Sanctuary . While attending Children’s Church, children will learn who God is, why we worship, participate in the many ways there are to worship God, and learn about the various parts that make up a worship service. The children are brought back to join their families before the end of the service. On the first Sunday of each month, the children remain ‘big Church’ so they can worship with their family and the Wesley family, as well as, participate in Communion.

Wesley Fellowship Night (WFN)

Our mission is to provide a dynamic mid-week ministry of Christian education that encompasses the actions of Christ’s first church spoken of in Acts 2:42, 46-47, and to augment and enhance the other study, fellowship, worship and outreach opportunities available for children at Wesley.

We welcome children ages 4 years thru 5th grade into an evening filled with a Bible lesson, fellowship, fun and worship. Our Wednesday evening is always centered around children and focused on God whether we are learning and doing activities from our chosen Christ-centered curriculum, or having a game night, or eating a meal with our Wesley family and friends, or doing a mission project, or participating in a workshop activity. Children’s choir practice is held during this time. You do not have to attend Wesley to join us. . .so COME!! We have a place for your children.

We gather Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm in the Education Building and end at 7:30 pm.

Our start and end dates vary so, please check our Children’s Ministries Calendar. We follow the McKinney ISD school schedule as it relates to holidays and school closures. Our Calendar also contains the Lesson Topic, Bible Story and Bible Verse information for each week to help you teach and re-enforce the lesson at home.

Vacation Bible School

The mission of Vacation Bible School (VBS) is to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to share God’s love with His children.

VBS 2011 has come and gone but we’re gearing up for next year! This past year your kids explored the Bible as an exciting cookbook filled with recipes for living out God’s Word. See you next year!
