The mission of the Library is to provide books and materials that will help the congregation of the church develop their Christian faith and spiritual growth. We believe there is great value in reading, viewing, and listening to Christian material. The library contains Adult Books, Bibles and Commentaries, Children and Juvenile Books, and Videos as well as Periodicals. The library also supports the Wesley Christian Preschool and United Methodist Women's books and Sermon Audiocassettes from Sunday Sanctuary Services.
Our Library is
open whenever the church building is
open. It is not manned by staff but materials may be used or
borrowed at
any time. A self-checkout book is available. Also a
catalog of
books listed by Title, Author, Subject and Children's books are
available that
indicate where the book is located on the shelves. Books are
loaned for
three weeks.
Our Ministry Goal is to acquire Christian books that enrich the lives of our children, youth, teens, and young adults. Donated books and materials and special gifts, honorariums, and memorials are welcomed.
The Missions team facilitates opportunities to serve others and provides avenues for new and exciting outreach to all of Gods children locally, nationally, and internationally. Spreading the Gospel through demonstrated Love of God through Jesus Christ and loving our neighbor, we support missions such as the Community Lifeline Center, the Samaritan Inn, McKinney Community Food Pantry, assisting members of our church family with work projects around their homes, the Heifer project, blood drives, and building homes in Mexico. We joyfully reach out with Christ’s love to our neighbors and serve them in His name.

Prayer is the foundation of all God’s ministries. All praise, honor, and glory is offered to our Lord by upholding and nurturing the Body of Christ lived out at Wesley through corporate prayer on Sunday mornings, groups gathering to pray for the mission and ministry of Christ, intercessory prayers those who are ill or in need, for our church, city, state and national leaders, prayer vigils and healing services. Experience God’s grace and mercy as you worship with us and meditate in our beautiful Prayer Garden! SHALOM!!
Prime Timers is a group of seniors (all though anyone is welcome) who meet once a month for fun and fellowship. We have a potluck luncheon the third Thursday of every month (except July and August). In December, we plan a luncheon at a restaurant.
Each month we have a program or entertainment, a devotional, and a brief business meeting. Since we are self supporting, we accept a love offering which funds Birthday, Get Well, and Sympathy remembrances. We have made Memorials in the past to the Garden Fund, Bibles, Hymnals, Wesley Children’s Music Fund, General Benevolent Fund, and the Library.
We meet in the gym with lunch at 12:00 pm, so make that favorite recipe and join us!
Promise kids is a ministry to 3-5 year olds who do not attend "Big" church with their parents, and who are too young for the Children's Church setting.
