We celebrate children and families here at Wesley and recognize that belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is the number one priority in all of life for children, youth and adults. Our Core Ministry Values are:

Nursery

Birth to age 3 years – Our nursery team is committed to excellent loving care in safe environment, teaching Jesus’ love and God’s care as they are a gift from God.

Wesley Christian Preschool is a ministry of Wesley United Methodist Church. We are dedicated to the spiritual, physical, and mental development of all children in our care and to helping them realize their fullest potential in an environment of Christian love and values.  We are committed to providing the children with a Christian foundation based on the teachings of the Bible and security of knowing that they are loved as children of God. We offer enrollment to all children regardless of race, religion, sex, or national origin.

 

SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CHILDREN’S CHURCH

The award winning, creative, and interactive Children's curriculum from the gifted writers at Willow Creek is now the primary material utilized by the Sunday school and Children's Church program at Wesley!

The Sunday school program focuses on the 5G's, Grace, Growth, Group, Gifts, and Good Stewardship. Lessons which apply to everyday life and how these teachings can be put into practice are the hallmark of the Willow Creek curriculum, along with engaging and interactive methods of presentation.

The Children's Church material is entitled "Looking at the pieces," and presents a creative walk through the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Featuring creative, fun, and interactive modes of communication, this Promiseland curriculum invites children to enjoy God's word and experience it first hand.

 

 

PROMISE KIDS

Promise kids is a ministry to 3-5 year olds who do not attend "Big" church with their parents, and who are too young for the Children's Church setting.

In the Promise Kids program, children will listen to Bible stories and participate in activities related to the stories. There is also a time for free play outside (weather permitting), as well as a snack time.

Promise Kids offers a rewarding and enjoyable time for all of the children here at Wesley.

 

WESLEY FELLOWSHIP NIGHT

Wesley Fellowship Night is a time for our church family and guests to have a meal together, study God's word together, play together, and worship together. All are invited to join us Wednesday evenings in the Gym for family mealtime at 5:30 pm.  Music and Bible classes follow from 6:00 to 7:30 pm for children (ages 4 and up) and youth.

The curriculum used for Wesley Fellowship Night is from Saddleback Church where author of the Purpose Driven Church and the Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren, is pastor. This dynamic material leads children into a deeper relationship with God through in depth Bible study. Join us for a night of fellowship, fun, food, and figuring out what God's word holds for you!

 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacation Bible School will be a fun adventure to Son Treasure Island where we will learn about God's love. Join us for a week of fun and excitement with plenty of games, music, crafts, and learning about what it means to experience God's love for you. It all begins June 19th and goes on through the week. Times are 9-noon each day, with a dinner Thursday night the 22nd. There is no charge for children to participate and anyone and everyone is welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!!!
